Under the National Handicrafter Development Program, a Sewing Machine Distribution Ceremony was organized by the Mahila Utkarsh Mandal in collaboration with the Handicrafter Department for the benefit of local women entrepreneurs.

Through this initiative, women engaged in home-based and self-employment activities were provided with free sewing machines and embroidery toolkits to support their livelihoods and encourage economic independence.

The distribution program was graced by Hon’ble Member of Parliament Shri Sadel Bharat Singh Gadhi, along with Handicrafter Director Girishbhai Sinha and Officer Alka Darji, who distributed the machines and addressed the participants.

This initiative aims to enhance the skills of women artisans in rural and urban areas, enabling them to become financially self-reliant while preserving traditional craftsmanship. The program received an enthusiastic response from the beneficiaries, marking another successful step towards women empowerment and sustainable livelihood promotion in the Bhuj region.
